Duke Baseball Tabbed No. 28 in D1Baseball Top 100 Programs

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke baseball was named the 28th-best collegiate baseball program in the country by D1Baseball on Tuesday, moving up from the Blue Devils’ 33rd ranking in 2022.

Since taking over the program in 2013, head coach Chris Pollard has recorded a 379-275 record in Durham, collected the program’s first two ACC Tournament Championships, and took Duke to the first three Super Regionals in program history. With 379 wins in a Blue Devils’ uniform, Pollard sits two wins away from legendary head coach Jack Coombs for the all-time wins lead at Duke.

“Duke is another program that has made incredible strides over the past few seasons under the leadership of head coach Chris Pollard. It wasn’t too long ago that Duke was a proverbial punching bag in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Now, it is routinely one of the league’s best programs. Again, that credit goes to Pollard for building a monster. The Blue Devils have experienced a wealth of success the last two seasons, going 38-24 two seasons ago with a Super Regional appearance against Virginia in Charlottesville, before going 40-20 overall this past season with a regional appearance in Norman. Duke has a strong academic profile, is in a rich recruiting ground, and is committed to spending much more on facilities and other program-related amenities. I love the trajectory and outlook of this program with Pollard leading the charge.” – Kendall Rogers, D1Baseball

When D1Baseball began ranking the top 100 programs in 2015 Duke was not ranked but has climbed the ladder in 2017 (82), 2019 (39) and 2022 (33), before cracking the top 30 entering the 2025 campaign.
