Softball Releases Full 2025 Season Schedule

2025 Rutgers Softball Schedule

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers softball has unveiled its complete 2025 slate.

The upcoming season includes five nonconference tournament weekends, including a return to the prestigious Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, along with single-game dates at Oregon State and Portland State during a west coast spring break and five nonconference mid-week dates in addition to the previously announced 22-game Big Ten schedule.

 




2025 Rutgers Softball Nonconference Tournament Opponents

The 2025 season kicks off on the weekend of February  7-9 with the Scarlet Knights returning to The Spring Games in Leesburg, Florida to face Cleveland State, Middle Tennessee, Louisville and Liberty.

RU will travel to the Lonestar State on February 14-16 for the East Texas A&M (formerly known as Texas A&M – Commerce) Tournament. The Scarlet Knights will face SIUE, Abilene Christian and the host Lions.

Rutgers makes it back-to-back years at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic on February 20-22 with opponents including the SEC’s Arkansas, Missouri and Tennessee, along with San Jose State, Oregon State and Loyola Marymount.

Nonconference tournament action continues on February 28 – March 1 at the Jane B. Moore Memorial Tournament hosted by Auburn. In addition to the host Tigers, RU will take on Louisiana and McNeese State.

The Scarlet Knights will make a short trip to face Seton Hall in South Orange for its first mid-week of the season on March 5 before closing out nonconference tournament play at the Bob Heck Memorial Tournament in Decatur, Georgia. Rutgers will meet up with host Georgia State and also take on West Georgia, Colgate and North Dakota.

RU will host Wagner for the home opener on Tuesday, March 11, before opening Big Ten play with Maryland the weekend of March 14-15.

Rutgers heads out west for mid-week clashes at Oregon State on March 18 and Portland State on March 19  before a pair of Big Ten games at Washington on March 21 & 22.

March wraps up with the Scarlet Knights welcoming Oregon to the RU Softball Complex on March 28 & 29.

April starts on the road for conference dates at Penn State on April 4-6 before returning host to host a mid-week match-up with Lehigh on April 8.
