Phillies Land Dylan Campbell, Send Dodgers International Bonus Pool Space

Phillies Expect Young Catcher Eduardo Tait's Power To Play

On Jan. 17, shortly after Roki Sasaki announced he was signing with the Dodgers, the team completed a trade with the Phillies for international pool money. In exchange, Philadelphia received outfielder Dylan Campbell, a supplemental fourth-rounder from 2023 out of Texas.

PHILLIES RECEIVE

Dylan Campbell, OF
Age: 22

Campbell ranked as Baseball America’s No. 360 draft prospect in 2023 and then was selected by the Dodgers in the supplemental fourth round. He signed for $497,500. The righty-swinging outfielder spent the entire 2024 season at High-A Great Lakes, where his 109 hits tied him for seventh in the Midwest League. His 42 stolen bases ranked fifth on the circuit. Campbell hits the ball decently hard—his 90th percentile exit velocity was 101 mph—and makes the bulk of his contact in the air. He was one of just eight minor leaguers to finish the year with 20 or doubles, 10 or more homers and 40 or more stolen bases. Campbell spent time at all three outfield positions in 2024, though the bulk of his work came in right field.
