Space Cowboys Announce Promotional Lineup for Portion of 2022 Campaign

(ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.) – Before the Sugar Land Space Cowboys left Albuquerque to head back to Constellation Field, they had a few more home runs left to hit.

Corey Julks and Korey Lee delivered back-to-back home runs, giving the Space Cowboys 17 homers through the six-game set.

They were defeated by the Isotopes, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon at Isotopes park, splitting the series at 3-3.

Julks powered a 438-foot opposite-field solo homer in the fourth. It was his fifth of the season, including his fourth in his last five games. He’s hit .391 (9×23) through the five-game stretch.

Lee directly followed with a solo home run to left field. It was Lee’s seventh of the season and second in as many games. Lee has been a part of all four Space Cowboys back-to-back home run tandems this season, including one with Lewis Brinson on Saturday night. Lee has three home runs in his last six games.

JJ Matijevic put the Space Cowboys out to a 1-0 lead in the first with an RBI single, extending his hitting streak to 11 games. It’s tied for the longest active streak in the Pacific Coast League. Matijevic has hit .359 (14×39) with a double, four home runs and 12 RBI throughout the streak.

Brandon Bielak allowed one run on three hits through three innings in relief of starter Chad Donato, lowering his ERA to 2.36 on the year.

Scott Schebler went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI to lead the Isotopes offense in the win.

The Space Cowboys are headed back to Constellation Field for a six-game homestand, beginning at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday vs. the Round Rock Express. Following three games vs. Round Rock, they’ll host the Oklahoma City Dodgers for three games to close out the week.
