June 19, 2022 – Florida State League (FSL)Bradenton Marauders News Release

FORT MYERS, Fla. – After less than one full inning of action Sunday afternoon, the Marauders’ game against the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels at Hammond Stadium was canceled due to inclement weather.

The game will not be continued or made up, nor will any of the game’s results be reflected in players’ statistics.

Prior to the delay, Mighty Mussels right-hander Mike Paredes retired the Marauders in order in the top of the first inning, and in the bottom half, Bradenton lefty Jake Sweeney allowed a Noah Miller RBI-double and a Kala’i Rosario two-run double. After the next batter, Mikey Perez, saw just one pitch, the umpires waved both teams off the field, and the cancelation announcement was made approximately 70 minutes into the delay.

The Marauders travel to Dunedin on Tuesday to open a six-game series against the Dunedin Blue Jays, Single-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. at TD Ballpark.
