Trayce Thompson traded to Dodgers

Amid a big week for the Thompson family — Klay and the Warriors celebrated their 2022 NBA title with a parade on Monday — his brother, Trayce Thompson, appears to be on the move. The Dodgers are closing in on a deal to acquire the 31-year-old outfielder, a source tells MLB.com reporter Juan Toribio. The team has not confirmed.

Thompson has played for five teams during parts of six Major League seasons, including 107 games for the Dodgers in 2016-17, during which he hit 14 homers. He played in six games for the Padres earlier this season, going 1-for-14, before being signed to a Minor League deal by the Tigers.

Thompson has absolutely raked at the Triple-A level in 2022, hitting .305/.365/.721 with 17 homers in 41 games.
