Scouting Alabama
- Alabama continues its homestand with a midweek matchup against Southern Miss on Wednesday at 6 p.m. CT
- The Crimson Tide is in the midst of a 13-game home stand, with seven more home games remaining before hitting the road for six straight starting March 8 at UAB
- Alabama went 4-1 at last weekend’s Easton Bama Bash, winning its first four matchups before dropping the weekend finale to Kennesaw State
- Ally Shipman leads the team with a .440 batting average (11-for-25) with Ashley Prange next up at .379 (11-for-27), which includes a team-leading four home runs and 11 RBIs
- Murphy is in his 25th season as head coach at Alabama with a 1,200-335 (.782) record
- Alabama returns 11 players from last year’s team, including All-SEC honorees Montana Fouts, Ashley Prange, Ally Shipman and Bailey Dowling, while also welcoming five freshmen and three transfers

- Alabama went 4-1 at last weekend’s Easton Bama Bash, winning its first four contests including a pair of run-rule victories before dropping the weekend finale to Kennesaw State
- The Tide outscored its opponents 43-13 over the weekend, including a pair of 14-4 and 11-0 run-rule wins on Saturday against Indiana State and Southeastern Louisiana
- As a team, Alabama hit .333 (37-for-111) including six doubles and eight home runs
- Kenleigh Cahalan led the team batting 8-for-12 (.667) with eight runs scored
- Ally Shipman drove in a team-leading nine RBIs, with three of her five hits going for extra bases
- Celebrating her senior day on Saturday, Faith Hensley hit a home run in each game of the doubleheader, finishing the weekend hitting .556 (5-for-9) with four RBIs
- Montana Fouts and Lauren Esman came out of the weekend with a 1.20 and 1.50 ERA, respectively, allowing a combined four earned runs over 21.0 innings pitched
- Fouts struck out 20 batters across 11.2 innings with just two walks
