UNC baseball moves up in latest USA TODAY Sports coaches poll

UNC Baseball Swings Back Into The Win Column

The North Carolina Tar Heels baseball program had its week of games cut short last week, playing three instead of five as the weekend series in Pittsburgh was limited to just one game. But in that week of play, the Tar Heels went 3-0 and now find themselves moving up the rankings.

The Diamond Heels are up four spots from No. 20 to No. 16 in the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll released on Monday afternoon. The week got off to a big start with a win over Charlotte and then a day later beating High Point.

UNC took down Pitt in game one of the weekend series before the other two games were postponed. North Carolina’s bats got hot this past week and it will be interesting to see if they can keep it going into this week.
