The Auburn Tigers faced yet another challenging opponent on the road in Florida.
The Tigers played close with Florida, but could only salvage one win in the series, taking the final game of the weekend, 7-0.
This week, Auburn will battle yet another tough opponent in the LSU Tigers. The good news is, however, that the series will be played at Jane B. Moore Field.
The series loss did not affect Auburn much in the national rankings, as they dropped no more than two places in two polls, while they are still trying to find a place in the other two polls.
Here’s a look at where Auburn stands in all four major polls, as well as the SEC standings, ahead of this weekend’s series with LSU.

Auburn dropped just two spots in this week’s USA TODAY/NFCA Coaches Poll after falling at Florida. Auburn will face yet another challenge this weekend as they host the No. 13 LSU Tigers at Jane B. Moore Field. Two of Auburn’s final four SEC opponents grace this week’s coaches poll.

Auburn softball’s hardest critic this season has been D1Softball. Auburn misses out on the top 25 for another week despite challenging the Florida Gators last weekend in Gainesville. D1Softball has been hard on Florida as well, as they were the only poll to not rank the Gators last week. Florida’s series win over Auburn moves them back into the poll this week at No. 23.

The Tigers dropped out of the Softball America poll two weeks ago despite taking two of three games from Ole Miss at home. This week, Auburn remains on the outside looking in in the latest Softball America rankings. Florida’s series win over Auburn did not impress the pollsters at Softball America, as the Gators dipped three spots from No. 21 to No. 24.
