The Aggie even the series in game two after run-ruling the Gators

I do not want to speak for everyone but I’m confident in saying that few people predicted that a struggling Aggie team would run-rule the No. 4 team in the nation. It was not an instance in which Texas A&M (27-20, 10-13 SEC) was peppering Florida (37-11, 15-8 SEC) throughout the game. They only score in three innings but two of those produced 14 of the 15 runs. Now with the series tied the Aggies have a major opportunity to add a top-five team to their resume as the season comes to an end.

Both teams had issues getting runs across the plate even though both teams gave the other a few free bases on walks. Then finally in the third inning, Hunter Haas broke the stalemate with a solo home run to give the Aggies their first points of the game. That was just a little taste of what was to come.

Texas A&M exploded in the bottom of the fourth inning putting eight runs on the board. Haas logged two more RBI with a double down the right field line driving in Wells and Austin Bost. Then Max Kaufer scored off a ground out to the pitcher followed by Jace LaViolette crossing the plate on a throwing error. The last two runs of the inning came from a a Bost sacrifice fly and a single by Wells that allowed Ryan Tragac to score.

Final Score: Aggies 15, Gators 2 – W: Cortez, Chris (2-0); L: Waldrep, Hurston (6-3)
