Keshawn Ogans, Nathan Martorella Continue Strong Summers

BERKELEY – Former California baseball players Keshawn Ogans and Nathan Martorella are in the midst of productive stints in the 2023 Arizona Fall League, an offseason league operated by the MLB at six different baseball complexes in Arizona. The strong performances come on heels of a breakout 2023 campaign in the minor leagues.

A member of the Atlanta Braves organization, Ogans finished his first full summer hitting .265 and boasted a .360 on-base percentage playing for the Rome Braves in High A ball. The infielder from Daly City, scored 43 runs and drove in 67 while clubbing nine home runs and stealing 10 bases. He was named a top prospect in the Arizona Fall League on Oct. 6 and  has played in eight games for the Salt River Rafters, hitting .300.

Martorella, who is one of the top-10 prospects for the San Diego Padres, was promoted to Double A San Antonio and smashed 19 home runs during the regular season. After a strong season in the minors he was sent to the Peoria Javelinas with other top San Diego prospects. In seven AFL games he has one double while hitting .240.
