Duke Baseball Opens at No. 23 in Perfect Game Preseason Top-25


DURHAM – Following its third Super Regional appearance in program history and head coach Chris Pollard‘s program tying fifth NCAA Tournament appearance, Duke baseball was tabbed as the No. 23 team in the country by Perfect Game on Friday.
 
The Blue Devils completed the 2023 season with a 39-24 overall record, defeating the No. 10 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament Coastal Carolina, 12-3 in the Conway Regional Championship game. The 39 wins were the second-most under Pollard, behind the 2018 squad who tallied 45 wins during their run to the Super Regional’s. 
 
Duke opens the 2024 season at the Baseball at the Beach tournament hosted by Coastal Carolina. The Blue Devils will face off against Indiana on opening day, George Mason on Saturday and Coastal Carolina on Sunday to close out the weekend.
