Lemley throws eight strikeouts in No. 15/13 Virginia Tech’s 5-4 loss to NC State

RALEIGH, NC —Junior Emma Lemley struck out eight NC State hitters over six innings of work, but it was not enough as the No. 15/13 Virginia Tech Hokies fell to the Wolfpack 5-4.

In addition to her eight strikeouts, Lemley (7-4) went six innings, giving up five runs, all of them earned, on five hits and walking three for Virginia Tech (26-9-1).
