Wake Forest enters the latest college baseball Power 10

Angelo State wins 2023 DII baseball national championship

Another week another college baseball power 10. Here is my top 10 after Week 10.

1. Texas A&M (Previous 1)

They have won five consecutive series against ranked teams, and the Aggies are off to their best start in SEC play in program history. Their offense was on fire this past weekend with Braden Montgomery crushing two homers in the win on Saturday.

2. Arkansas (2)

The Razorbacks stay at No. 2 following an undefeated week and a series win over South Carolina. Hagen Smith and Gabe Gaekle combined for 16 strikeouts on the mound in the win Friday night.

3. Tennessee (3)

The Vols came out on top of a huge top-five series against Kentucky on the road. It came down to the rubber match on Sunday where Christian Moore smashed three home runs and finished the day with four runs scored and six RBIs as the Vols captured their fifth straight SEC series win.

4. Kentucky (4)

The Wildcats are 13-3 in the past month, with two losses to No. 3 Tennessee.

5. Clemson (6)

Tigers stay at 5. The Tigers won an ACC series over Pittsburgh powered by another 3-home run performance from Jimmy Obertop on Saturday which tied a school record.

6. East Carolina (9)

ECU makes a big jump to No. 6. The Pirates had 4 wins last weekend as a few teams moved down. The offense really showed up big time scoring 11 runs in each of the last two games of the weekend.

7. Duke (10)

Blue Devils move up to No. 7 after winning their series over Virginia Tech after trailing 9-4 in the top of the seventh inning of the last game. They scored nine runs over the final three frames, including four home runs, for a big series win.

8. Wake Forest (NR)

The Demon Deacons have gotten back on track after a slow start to the season. They just picked up a huge series win over FSU with a 10-9 walk-off victory in the rubber match.

9. Florida State (7)

The Seminoles stay in the top 10, but they move down two spots after the series loss to Wake Forest.

10. Oregon State (5)

Oregon State closes out my top 10 after getting swept by Cal and dropping a midweek game to total four losses last week. The Beavers have been dealing with some injuries, but they remain in the top 10 after week 10.
