After quite a few struggles to begin SEC play as the LSU baseball team dropped its first five conference series, coach Jay Johnson’s squad finally has some momentum on its side.
The Tigers (26-16, 5-13 SEC) won their first conference series over the weekend, on the road no less, against Missouri. They followed that up with a 9-0 midweek win over a solid Nicholls team, and they’ll look to keep their winning ways up as they host an Auburn (20-20, 2-16 SEC) team that comes in with the worst record in the conference.
Here’s what you need to know to watch as the two Tigers squads kick off the weekend slate with Game 1 on Friday night.

LSU leads the all-time series 110-80, winning 22 of the last 32 games. However, Auburn has won three of the last five series between the two teams, including 2022 in Baton Rouge and 2023 in Auburn.
