Matt Mariano really picked us up in the middle of the game and then DiMartino took us home at the end. We had quality at-bats, the guys could have folded, could have buckled, but they dug in and had a great walk-off win today. Super proud of the guys and look forward to tomorrow.”
 
 How it Happened:

  • Cregg Scherrer got the start of the Great Danes in game two. The Highlanders gave Brandon Peterson the start.
  • UAlbany cracked the scoreboard first in the bottom of the second. Levi McAllister got the inning started with a single up the middle before scoring on a fielder’s choice, giving the Great Danes an early 1-0 advantage.
  • With two runners in scoring position, NJIT answered back with a single by Kevin Putsky to tie the contest.
