CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference revealed the complete bracket for the 2024 Big Ten Softball Tournament that will be held May 8-13 at Bob Pearl Field in Iowa City, Iowa. The Fighting Illini were granted the 12-seed and will face off against the fifth-seeded Minnesota Golden Gophers on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. CT.
Fighting Illini softball closed out the regular season with a 21-30 overall record and a 7-15 mark in league play. Minnesota boasted a 27-24 regular season record with a 13-19 conference mark. The Gophers swept the series with the Illini earlier this year.
All 11 games of this year’s Big Ten Tournament will not only be televised live to a national audience on the Big Ten Network, but will also be available on the FOX Sports app.
