COLLEGE PARK, MD – The Maryland softball team finished No. 10 in the Big Ten and, will play the No. 7 seed Penn State Nittany Lions in the Big Ten Tournament this week at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA.
(10) Maryland (23-29, 8-15) will face (7) Penn State (34-17, 12-11) in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament on Wednesday at 5:30 EST. The winner will go on to face No. 3 Michigan on Thursday. Wednesday’s game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
The Terps faced off against Penn State earlier this season in which Penn State took the series 2-1. Maryland enters the tournament on a three game win streak, three wins in a row in Big Ten play. Maryland closed out the regular season with a road series sweep over Wisconsin.
