The SEC softball regular season came to an end on Sunday.
LSU had already finished conference play the prior weekend and wrapped things up with a loss on Senior Day against Liberty, though it did take the first two games to clinch a win in its final series of the year. That was a much-needed result after the Tigers dropped four series in a row to conclude SEC play.
While a super regional hosting bid is possible for this team, it did quite a bit of damage to its resume down the stretch and will not earn a top-four seed at the SEC tournament, which begins on Tuesday.
Here are the final SEC standings, reflective of tournament seeding, as we prepare for the event in Auburn, Alabama.
