DURHAM – No. 9 Duke hits the road for the final midweek matchup of the season, traveling to Greenville, N.C., to face off against No. 6 East Carolina on Tuesday. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. from Lewis Field at Clark-LeClair Stadium.

  • After breaking the freshman RBI record held by Joey Loperfido, rookie AJ Gracia sets his sites on another huge milestone this season. Gracia tied the freshman home run record held by Andrew Fischer with his 11th home run of the season to open the scoring against Longwood in game one. The three-run shot added to his RBI tally, bringing his mark to 49 on the season. The rookie has a minimum 10-games left to etch his name in history, as the Blue Devils clinched a spot in the ACC Tournament. 
  • Graduate Zac Morris leads the team with 22 two-out RBI this season, as the Blue Devils have tallied 115 as a collective unit. The 115 runs account for 28.8% of Duke’s scoring this season.
  • Sunday’s run production continues to shine for the Blue Devils, as they added 34 more runs in the double header against Longwood. Duke has now produced 12.08 runs per game on Sunday in 2024.
  • Duke improved to 15-1 on the season when scoring 10-plus runs in a game. The Blue Devils tallied their fourth 20-plus run game of the year, scoring 23 against Longwood in game one of the double header. Duke was 18-0 a year ago when scoring 10 or more and 4-0 in the ACC.
  • Senior catcher Alex Stone climbed into a tie for fourth all-time on the career home run list for Duke, hitting his 35th in a Blue Devils’ uniform on Sunday against Longwood. The home run, a grand slam, moved him even with Jeff Becker (1996-00) who hit 35 home runs during his time in Durham. The career home run record was set by Nate Freiman (2006-09) who crushed 43 home runs in a Duke uniform.
