It was a rough start to SEC play for the LSU baseball team, but things seem to be turning around.
After winning back-to-back series against struggling Missouri and Auburn teams, the Tigers proved this weekend that their perceived improvement was no coincidence. They took the first two games against No. 1 Texas A&M, and though they couldn’t get the sweep in Game 3, they got a crucial third series win in a row as they look to get the season back on track.
That wasn’t the only big result that impacted the top of the standings. Arkansas, the No. 2 team in the nation, lost a series on the road against No. 8 Kentucky.
With a couple of top teams going down, here’s how the standings look with two weeks to go in the regular season.
