Baseball Visits Penn State in Conference Road Finale


STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Rutgers baseball is set for its final road series of the season this weekend when it makes the trip out to College Park to take on Penn State.

Game one is set for a 5:30 p.m. first pitch on Friday evening, followed by a 2 p.m. start on Saturday and a 1 p.m. finale on Sunday afternoon.

Rutgers is coming off a three-game series against Maryland where the Scarlet Knights split a doubleheader on Saturday and lost the series two-of-three.

The Nittany Lions are 7-11 in the Big Ten and split a nonconference weekend, beating Georgetown last Friday and losing to Navy on Sunday. They also dropped a midweek contest on Wednesday night at West Virginia.

All three games this weekend will be streamed on Big Ten Plus.

Series History

Rutgers is 40-47 all-time against Penn State, including a 12-11 mark in Big Ten play. The Scarlet Knights swept the Nittany Lions last season in Piscataway and have won seven of their last eight against them dating back to 2021.
