The LSU softball team will take the field in Auburn, Alabama, once again on Friday, this time with a shot at the conference championship game on the line.
The Tigers survived their opener in a 14-inning marathon against the Alabama Crimson Tide, and after a seven-hour weather delay, they took down the tournament’s top-seeded Tennessee Volunteers in the quarterfinal round.
Now, LSU is preparing for a matchup against No. 5-seeded Missouri in the semifinal round as it looks to pull off another seed upset on Friday. The Tigers dropped two of three on the road against Mizzou back in March.
