Social media reacts to Texas A&M’s epic comeback vs. Georgia

Texas A&M (38-5, 15-5 SEC) is a relentless bunch, as the Aggies roared back in Game 2 after trailing 9-0 in the first inning before star outfielder Jace LaViolette hit a two-run run over to start one of the more epic comebacks in recent memory, scoring 19 connective runs to the game after seven innings.

While starting pitcher Tanner Jones allowed the Bulldogs 9 first-inning runs, which included a grand slam, Aggie fans (for the most part) knew that this team deserved the benefit of the down no matter the deficit, and after LaViollette’s two-run bomb started thing off, the floodgates opened.

Former Michigan second baseman Ted Burton continued the scoring barrage with a two-run homer of his own, followed by Travis Chesnut’s first of two home runs on the night, scoring three to make it 9-8 in the bottom of the first. After a scoreless second, the Aggies walked LaViolette to tie the game, but until the 6th inning rolled around, the Bulldogs kept things scoreless.

Well, that was short-lived, as A&M’s prolific offense would plate ten more runs, including Travis Chesnut’s second two-run homer in the seventh to end the game on a run rule. After the game, Aggie fans and media alike were in awe of the performance.

Texas A&M is currently in the midst of Game 3 of the double header.
